Student Competition


Entries open May 13, 2024 and remain open until May 28, 2024.

Each year, the contest is open to any high school or rising 9th-grade student from the following areas:

  • Washington, DC
  • Maryland: Frederick, Howard, Montgomery & Prince George’s counties and adjacent Maryland cities and towns
  • Virginia: Arlington, Charlottesville, Clarke, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, Albemarle, and Rockingham counties and adjacent Virginia cities and towns

PRIZES: The Grand Prize is $500. Nine other finalists win $100 each.
