Many members of MAPV clubs are spending the next couple months creating and editing their photos in preparation for the 2024 Competitions.
The annual competition for members of our member clubs will open for submissions on Sunday August 11, 2024 and remain open until Sunday September 8. During this time, people who are members of one of the MAPV clubs will be able to submit as many as 12 images into the competition. Up to 6 images can be entered into the Nature Competition and up to 6 images can be entered into the Photo Art Competition.
Members are encouraged to submit images in August. Submitted images are reviewed by MAPV’s Image Review Committee for compliance with the competition and category rules. Please review the category descriptions on the Nature Competition and Photo Art Competition pages before submitting your images. Images that are submitted up to and including Sunday September 1 that are not in compliance with the rules will be removed from the competition but club members will be given the opportunity to replace the removed images with a new entry. Images submitted after September 1 that are removed may not be replaced.
Galleries of member juried images will be on display at our November event. Be sure to mark November 2-3, 2024 on your calendar and join us at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia for a weekend of education, collaboration with other photographers, and appreciation of photography.
