Travel and Study with Frank Van Riper

Washington, DC, Down East Main, and Umbria, Italy, 2021

Join internationally acclaimed photographer, author and journalist Frank Van Riper as he leads hands-on personalized photo workshops here and in Italy.

A senior faculty member of Photoworks in Glen Echo, Md., Frank has been a fixture on the DC area photo scene for decades. He was Photography columnist of the Washington Post for 19
years and is a bestselling author of six books. Before that was an award-winning Washington correspondent and editor for the New York Daily News.

Every summer Frank and his wife and partner Judith Goodman lead photography workshops and Master Classes in Lubec, Maine—the easternmost point in the United States and one of the
most beautiful spots in the country.

And every October, Frank takes a small group of photographers on a molto simpatico workshop in Umbria (often called ‘Tuscany without the tourists’) that covers places and things the average
tourist never sees.
