I originally studied black and white photography at the University of Virginia and have always looked for a unique view into the everyday around us. This led to focus on macro and abstract photography. As part of my interest in abstract photography, I began creating images with light. The first technique I learned was how to move a light source over a subject in a painting motion to illuminate it.
Recently, I discovered my passion for painting with light alone, or light drawing. Every light painting image is unique because of the infinite ways light interacts with your tools, movements, surroundings, and camera settings.
I enjoy presenting to groups and conducting workshops either virtually or in person for this unique form of photography. I am located in the Northern Virginia area; if you would like learn more, please contact me to arrange a presentation, workshop, model session, or collaboration.
